Ben Foster has admitted he’s baffled that one Everton player is still so underrated despite being one of the very best in his position.
David Moyes has been able to assemble a really talented Everton, spending in excess of £100m in the summer.
Jack Grealish has been the standout performer this season and is rightfully getting a lot of the plaudits in the media.
Iliman Ndiaye is also earning rave reviews and is actually being linked with a move away from Merseyside ahead of the January window.

However, there is one player who just doesn’t seem to get the credit he deserves and Ben Foster can’t understand why.

Ben Foster says Jordan Pickford is so underappreciated
Speaking on talkSPORT, Ben Foster admitted that Jordan Pickford is England’s best goalkeeper of the 21st century and should get way more praise.
“I still think that Jordan Pickford is, of the modern era anyway, probably last 20 years, is our greatest goalkeeper,” the 42-year-old explained.

“I really do think so. I think for how underrated he is, I think he’s a victim of the fact that he plays for Everton.
“No disrespect to Everton by the way, but I just think that if he played for a big boy, everybody would be talking about him so much more than what they already do.”
In the last international break, Pickford became England’s first keeper to keep 10 consecutive clean sheets.
He surpassed Gordon Banks’ record of seven, which came during the 1966 World Cup triumph, and yet the Toffees shot-stopper continues to be overlooked by many.

Pickford has been one of the most consistent performers in the Premier League since he joined Everton in 2017.
The 31-year-old has established himself as a club legend and is actually not too far away from breaking into the top 10 for most games played.
Neville Southall currently sits at number one, making over 700 appearances, but Pickford has a decent chance to replace Leighton Baines at number 10.

The former Sunderland star needs to play another 91 games, which is more than doable considering he’s recently penned a new deal running through until 2029.
Pickford could end up finishing his career at Everton, so perhaps he could get into the prestigious top five.
