Todd Boehly has made some interesting comments about Chelsea’s team and rivals Manchester United.
Chelsea’s current squad is an inexperienced one and the Blues could add even more young players to it.
The Chelsea Chronicle understands that Chelsea have an interest in Kenan Yildiz, who only turns 21 next year.
How will Chelsea get on against Burnley?
However, Boehly has no concerns about the group that Enzo Maresca is currently working with.

Todd Boehly warns Premier League clubs Chelsea are only going to get better
For Chelsea’s co-owner, there are many benefits of having a young team on long contracts. He is now expecting the side to improve significantly and is excited about the future.
Speaking to AFR Weekend, Boehly said: “You’re going to continue to watch our team evolve and grow. We’ve got them together for a long time. I’m pretty excited about what the future looks like.”
Right now, the Chelsea team that Boehly, Behdad Eghbali and the club’s sporting directors have put together are performing well on the pitch.
Maresca’s side currently sit third in the Premier League table and have reached the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.
However, off the field, there have been some issues, such as Chelsea’s failure to secure a long-term front-of-shirt sponsor.

Todd Boehly reminds Manchester United they haven’t won title in 12 years
In his recent interview with AFR Weekend, Boehly also spoke about the need for all teams to be competitive and United’s failure to win a Premier League title since the 2012/13 season.
“It’s been a long time since they’ve won,” Boehly said when he was asked about United. “Winning is really valuable so figuring out how to get back on the winning ways is important for all teams. You have to be competitive.”
Ruben Amorim’s side were able to beat Boehly’s Chelsea when they faced off in September, winning 2-1 at Old Trafford.
They were helped by Robert Sanchez, who was sent off that day. However, since then, the goalkeeper has not put a foot wrong. Right now, the 28-year-old is easily one of the best shot-stoppers in the Premier League.
Statistically, Sanchez is really good at stopping crosses. The Spain international cost Chelsea just £25m when he signed from Brighton & Hove Albion in the 2023 summer transfer window and is now starting to look like good business conducted by Boehly and the rest of the club.
