Arsenal have decided not to offer scholarship contracts to twins Yabsera and Kaleab Meron, with the pair set to leave the club at the end of the season.
Both players progressed through the ranks at Hale End and at various points were seen as amongst the most talented and skilful players in their age group.
However, difficult decisions have had to be made regarding scholarship contracts ahead of next season.
Yabsera, who can play as a left-back or a winger, was previously called up to an England U15 training camp and featured for Arsenal U18s in pre-season. In September he suffered an injury which required surgery.
Kaleab, a midfielder or winger, also played for Arsenal U18s in the summer and has represented England at youth level.
Arsenal’s scholarship intake for next season is set to include Max Dowman and Kyran Thompson as well as many other highly-rated prospects.
