Report: Chelsea attacker is admired by a 'long list' of top clubs, transfer now looking likely

Chelsea’s January transfer window is likely to involve more players leaving the club than new ones joining the first team squad.

The Blues are already faced with the conundrum of dealing with the desire of goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen to leave the club and get more minutes in the run up to the 2026 World Cup.

Chelsea are not sanctioning a loan deal for Jorgensen, meaning the Danish star will have to hope someone makes a permanent move to sign him in the winter.

Who is Chelsea’s best goalkeeper?

With pretty much any player at the club available at the right price, other clubs will always have an eye on Stamford Bridge to see if they can strengthen their squad.

Tyrique George has a ‘long list’ of admirers ahead of January transfer window

West London rivals Fulham almost did this over the summer with the signing of Tyrique George, however their deadline day deal to sign the attacker fell through.

The England U21 star has struggled for minutes in the Premier League this season, however has still managed four goal involvements in all competitions.

This has clearly impressed other sides, with the Mail Online reporting that there is a ‘long list’ of sides interested in signing George this January.

Crystal Palace have been linked to George, and the argument is certainly there that he could already be a starter at a large amount of Premier League sides.

A January transfer would be perfect for George

With England U21s manager Lee Carsley telling the attacker he needs to be playing more, a move away from Stamford Bridge looks the best course of action for the player.

The Blues continued to strengthen in the wide areas over the summer, bringing in Alejandro Garnacho, Jamie Gittens and Estevao Willian.

He has occasionally featured up front, however that position is also set to be added to with Strasbourg striker Emanuel Emegha.

A place in the 2026 World Cup squad looks too far away for George, however to realise his ambitions of playing for his country it looks as if he is going to have to find another club.
