Opta's supercomputer predicts most likely outcome of Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest

Liverpool face Nottingham Forest on Saturday, and the most likely outcome of the Premier League meeting has been predicted.

The Reds lost to Manchester City in their final meeting prior to the international break.

It leaves Liverpool’s Premier League title chances looking slim, already sitting eight points off top spot.

However, history suggests Arne Slot’s men could still win the league if they turn their form around in the next month or so.

Next up for the Merseyside outfit is a home meeting against Sean Dyche’s Forest on November 22nd.

Winner of Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest predicted

Forest have already sacked one manager this season amid a dismal start, turning to Dyche to save their season.

The ex-Everton and Burnley boss has helped them garner four points in their last two Premier League matches, beating Leeds United and drawing with Manchester United.

However, their mini unbeaten run is likely to come to an end against Liverpool, if Opta’s supercomputer is right.

Opta say that Forest have just 12.4% chance of picking up three points in gameweek 12 of 2025/26.

Meanwhile, Slot’s men have been handed a 71.1% chance of securing the victory on Saturday afternoon.

No side in the Premier League has a higher chance of winning this weekend, with Bournemouth (59.3% versus West Ham) the second most likely according to Opta’s model.

Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest head-to-head record

Liverpool have dominated this fixture throughout history, winning 60 matches compared to 32 for Forest. The remaining 30 clashes have ended as draws.

However, the Midlands club do have a decent record against the Reds in the last year or so.

The previous meeting, which was at the City Ground, ended as a 1-1 stalemate.

Prior to that, Callum Hudson-Odoi scored the only goal of the game on September 14, 2024, as Forest secured a huge win at Anfield.
