Everton return to Premier League action on Monday night as they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford.
David Moyes’ side are up against a much-improved Man United outfit, as Ruben Amorim’s side have won three of their last five games, drawing the other two.
How would you rate Everton’s 2025/26 season so far?
Everton, meanwhile, picked up a much-needed win against Fulham before the break and can go level with United if they pick up three points.
Moyes could make some bold changes to his starting line-up, with Seamus Coleman potentially coming back in after a productive couple of games with Ireland.
Ahead of the clash, we’ve looked at the three best players to have played for both Everton and Man United over the years.

3)Phil Neville
Phil Neville enjoyed a really fruitful career at Everton and Manchester United, making over 300 appearances for both clubs.

Phil Neville’s record
Neville was one of the class of ’92 and went on to win six Premier League titles and the Champions League.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
He was the captain at Everton for several years and certainly won over the Toffees supporters as a Mancunian.
2)Romelu Lukaku
During Romelu Lukaku’s four-year spell at Everton, he was probably, for a time, one of the best strikers on the planet.
Lukaku netted a whopping 87 goals in 166 appearances for the Toffees before making a £75m transfer to Man United in 2017.
He wasn’t as successful at Old Trafford, but still managed to score 42 goals in 96 games, which in hindsight, is pretty impressive.
1)Wayne Rooney
Coming in at number one is, of course, Wayne Rooney.
Rooney is widely regarded as one of the best footballers Britain have ever produced, and he was nurtured at Everton.
The Liverpool-born attacker came through the ranks at Finch Farm and became an overnight superstar for that famous goal against Arsenal as a 16-year-old.
A move to United ensued, and he became the club’s all-time top scorer, scoring 253 goals and winning countless trophies in the process.
Rooney returned to his boyhood club Everton in 2017 and actually had a pretty decent first season back, netting 10 league goals.
