**Newcastle United head to Manchester on Saturday to take on Pep Guardiola's City at the Etihad Stadium live on Sky Sports with a 5:30 pm kick-off.**
As we all know, Newcastle are yet to pick up maximum points in the Premier League away from home this season, and it feels like achieving that on Saturday is going to be a borderline impossible task.
City are back in title-challenging form after a drop off last season, and Erling Haaland has clearly had a software upgrade over the summer because he too his back to his insane goal scoring best.
However, Gary Neville isn't fully confident that Man City will have things all their own way on Saturday.
Jamie Carragher talked Gary Neville out of predicting ponts for Newcastle
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Speaking with Jamie Carragher on their Stick To Football podcast, Neville had to be persuaded by Carra to back a City win.
> **Carragher**: “I think if City win this, it puts big pressure on Arsenal going into that game the next day. You’ll all be a bit nervous going into that stadium.”
>
> **Neville**: “I’m not sure City win.”
>
> **Carragher**: “What do we want for the Premier League? We want City to win so it juices up Sunday for us.”
>
> **Neville**: “We’ll go 2-1 City.”
Newcastle could surprise some people on Saturday
------------------------------------------------
We highly doubt that Neville was leaning towards a Newcastle win before Carragher changed his mind, but he could have been thinking it would have been another point on the road for Eddie Howe.
Newcastle notched three 0-0 draws in a row on the road at the start of the season, but the last two away games have ended in 3-1 defeats after initially taking the lead.
To say that our confidence is on the floor going into this game would be an understatement, but stranger things have happened, and our luck _has_ to change at some point, so why not on Saturday?
