Where to watch Liverpool v Nottingham Forest plus kick-off time and team news

Liverpool are looking to bounce back as they return to Premier League action at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The Reds find themselves a disappointing eighth in the league, after a poor run of form which has seen them win just one of their last five top-flight games.

After a flying start to the new campaign with wins in their first seven fixtures in all competition, the champions have been brought crashing down to earth more recently.

Arne Slot's side suffered four straight league defeats across September and October to lose ground in the title race.

They thought they had rediscovered form with victory over Aston Villa earlier in November, followed by a morale-boosting win against Real Madrid in the Champions League.

But a demoralising 3-0 defeat to Manchester City last time out now sees Liverpool eight points adrift of leaders Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Forest are looking to claim back-to-back wins after a 3-1 victory over Leeds before the international break.

The City Ground outfit find themselves 19th in the Premier League after a chaotic start to the season, but new boss Sean Dyche has steadied the ship, with his side unbeaten in their last three games.

Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest: Team news

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson is expected to return for the Forest clash after seven weeks out of action.

The Brazilian limped off in the Champions League defeat to Galatasaray back in September, with Giorgi Mamardashvili standing in between the sticks since.

But in a major boost, he could be fit to start on Saturday, with Arne Slot revealing he expects the stopper to be ready for the clash.

However, the Reds are set to be without right-back Jeremie Frimpong, who limped off with a muscle injury in a Champions League win over Eintracht Frankfurt in October.

Young defender Giovanni Leoni remains a long-term absentee, after he was ruled out for the season with an ACL injury.

As for Forest, they could be handed a boost for the trip to Anfield after having something of an injury crisis recently.

Last season's top scorer Chris Wood has missed the last three league matches with a knee injury, but was reportedly in contention to play against Leeds United before the international break.

While he ultimately wasn't risked, there could be chance Wood will be fit enough to play some part against Liverpool.

Dilane Bakwa, a summer signing from Strasbourg, is expected to return at the end of the month, making the weekend a possibility.

Oleksandr Zinchenko groin injury is expected to keep him out of the game at Anfield, but could still feature before the end of the month.

Meanwhile, first-choice full-back Ola Aina is out until the new year with a thigh problem, while Douglas Luiz is also a miss in midfield.
