The New England Patriots (9-2), Buffalo Bills (7-3), and Miami Dolphins (4-7) all won this week and made it three out of four for the AFC East. The New York Jets (2-8) were the lone division loss and look to have taken up permanent residence in the AFC East basement. With eleven weeks of the 2025 NFL Season behind us, let’s take a look at the Week 12 AFC East Divisional Power Rankings.
#4 New York Jets (2-8)

The New York Jets had a great opening drive against the New England Patriots, but nothing went well after that on their way to a 27-14 loss. They’re in full free-fall mode and are benching Justin Fields for Tyrod Taylor this week (and likely beyond). Though there are still seven games left, the Jets might as well turn an eye to 2026 and the NFL Draft.

Don’t look now, but the Miami Dolphins have now won two in a row and three of their last four. While their 16-13 win over the Washington Commanders wasn’t pretty, a win is a win, and Miami needs as many as they can get. Head coach Mike McDaniel is probably coaching for his job at this point, and the Dolphins will have to run the table if they want to have any chance at the playoffs.
#2 Buffalo Bills (7-3)
Josh Allen

The Buffalo Bills kept up with the New England Patriots this week with a back-and-forth home win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While Josh Allen had two interceptions, he more than made up for that with six total touchdowns. The Bills have a relatively easy schedule (and a head-to-head matchup against the Patriots) ahead of them, so the division is still very much in play.
#1 New England Patriots (9-2)

The New England Patriots made it eight in a row with a 27-14 win over the New York Jets, and they’ve now surpassed their win total of the last two seasons combined. With Drake Maye playing at an MVP level and head coach Mike Vrabel in the running for Coach of the Year, the Patriots future looks very bright.

What’s Next?
The Buffalo Bills will face a tough Houston Texans team on Thursday Night Football, while the Miami Dolphins will look to win their third straight game against the New Orleans Saints. The New England Patriots will play the Cincinnati Bengals as Ja’Marr Chase misses the game due to suspension, and the New York Jets will take on the Ravens in Baltimore.
