Djibril Cisse has explained why he was seen celebrating with Manchester City players after they won the Premier League and QPR survived relegation back in 2012.
The Cityzens claimed their first-ever Premier League title in stunning fashion after coming from 2-1 down with two goals in injury time, including the famous Sergio Aguero strike in the final seconds of the game.
That goal sparked crazy scenes at the Etihad Stadium with fans running onto the pitch to celebrate, but it was also noted at the time that QPR players were seen celebrating on the pitch.
Wayne Rooney recently stated that he felt the situation was dodgy, admitting that he believes in the conspiracy theory that QPR helped Man City to win the league that day after they found out they were safe from relegation following results in other games.

Rooney believes that goalkeeper Paddy Kenny should have done better for a couple of the goals that went in on the day, but there has also been more said on the incident.
Joey Barton saw red in that game, and Rooney has suggested that he may have done it as he was an ex-City star and wanted to help out his old club in their chase for a league title.
It was also recently mentioned by Mike Dean, the referee at the Etihad on the day, that he found it baffling that after Man City scored the equaliser, QPR already knew they were safe from relegation and immediately kicked the ball straight back to City from the kick-off.
The scenes after the game also sparked confusion as QPR stars were seen celebrating on the pitch despite the late defeat, with France international striker Cisse seen alongside Samir Nasri dancing and cheering after the full-time whistle.
That has become a memorable image from the game, one that Rooney and fans have never forgotten about, but Cisse has now moved to set the record straight about the situation.

After being singled out by Rooney for his celebrations at the full-time whistle, Cisse fired back and gave his side of the story for why he was alongside Nasri in that way.
"I was celebrating with Samir Nasri, my friend of 15 years.
“I didn’t care about Man City — I was just happy for him and relieved that we stayed up.”If we’d wanted them to win, we would’ve let them score 4-0 or 5-0, but we didn’t.
“We fought hard, and we had a strong team out there. It wasn’t our fault United lost the title. They dropped points all season.”
Whether Cisse is being honest, nobody but him will ever know, but it's clearly something that Manchester United and others found strange at the time, and it's something we're unlikely to ever see again in the Premier League.
