Liverpool is keen to welcome back several key players from injury, as it gears up for its Premier League clash this weekend.
The Reds will be hosting Forest at Anfield on Saturday, aiming to get back on the winning track in the top flight. Prior to the international break, Arne Slot's team suffered a 3-0 defeat by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
This loss leaves Liverpool in eighth position in the Premier League table, but Slot and his players have an opportunity to ascend the rankings when they face off against Forest this weekend. Slot is expected to give an update on the fitness of his players when he speaks to the press ahead of Saturday's game.
Throughout much of the season, Liverpool has had to grapple with numerous injury issues, and this will continue to be the case for the upcoming match against Forest on Saturday.
Alexander Isak has been absent from the Reds' last five matches but was part of the matchday squad for the City defeat and could potentially return to the starting XI this weekend. He is not one of the 10 players at risk of missing the game.
Yet Jeremie Frimpong is. He's been out of action for the past few weeks due to a hamstring injury, but is anticipated to make a comeback soon. However, Slot recently conceded that the Dutch international might still be a doubt for the Forest match.

Alisson Becker has also been sidelined for Liverpool due to a muscle injury. The Reds are hopeful that the Brazilian will be fit for the Forest showdown, but until Slot provides an update, it's uncertain whether Alisson will be guarding the goal at Anfield on Saturday.
"Alisson for sure. And I expect Jeremie back after the international break as well because we play from November until March," Slot told reporters earlier this month. "But I don’t expect Jeremie to be fully fit for Forest. But with Alisson, we expect this, yes."
Giovanni Leoni continues to be sidelined for Liverpool following a knee problem sustained in September. He's not expected to play again this season.
Forest has also been grappling with numerous injuries throughout the season.
Chris Wood has been nursing a knee complaint, but he may be available for the Liverpool fixture.
Callum Hudson-Odoi was absent from the Leeds victory due to a leg problem and might rejoin the squad for the Liverpool clash.
Douglas Luiz and Ola Aina have both been troubled by hamstring issues recently, with doubts remaining over their availability for the journey to Merseyside.
Oleksandr Zinchenko is recuperating from a groin problem, while Angus Gunn has been absent with a knee complaint.
Dilane Bakwa has also been unavailable due to an unspecified injury.
