New York Giants star running back Cam Skattebo has been keeping himself busy after his standout rookie campaign came to a grinding halt following a season-ending ankle injury in the Week 8 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Before suffering an ankle dislocation, a fibula fracture, and a deltoid ligament rupture, Skattebo had asserted himself as one of 2025's Offensive Rookies of the Year. Alongside fellow Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, Skattebo had seven total touchdowns for a combined 617 yards.

However, the injury brought his season to a close, with Skattebo's focus now on recovery — and having fun where he can. Skattebo caught some criticism for a cameo on WWE's Monday Night Raw inside Madison Square Garden — John Cena's last appearance in the arena before retiring — getting into a shoving match with The Judgement Day alongside Giants teammate Abdul Carter.

The former Arizona State star has also been streaming live on Twitch, quickly amassing a solid following of nearly 43,000 followers. Skattebo also passed 1,000 paid subscribers on his Twitch channel. Subscriptions cost $5.99, or you can get a free monthly sub with Twitch Prime.
To celebrate, Skattebo shotgunned an energy drink out of one of his football cleats. "Skatt" let out his signature "wooo!" before flexing on camera, followed by the devouring of a taco. The NFL star's next streaming milestone will involve a collaboration with popular streamer N3on on Nov. 20.
Skattebo has also addressed those who have criticised his antics amid his ankle injury. Former NFL star T.J. Ward was one of those to comment on Skattebo's WWE appearance. "This how you make sure you have a short NFL career," Ward said on Skattebo being involved in a melee on Raw. "lol…" Skattebo responded to the veteran.

Skattebo also released an individual message. The running back says he's "dealing with a tough time," and told his critics to "unfollow and casually move on."
"Aye, honestly if you don't like that I'm having a good time while dealing with a tough time, then just go ahead and unfollow and casually move on," he said. "I'm not able to play football and have the fun I've been having my whole life so I am doing things outside the box trying to find stuff to keep me happy. Enjoy the rest of y'all's week and just don't talk about me if you ain't got nothing nice to say."
At the end of October, Skattebo confirmed that his ankle surgery that he underwent in Philly was successful. He's looking forward to getting back on the field as soon as possible. However, it's unlikely Skattebo will return this year.
