Steelers’ massive tight end finally reveals his true weight and it’s even more impressive than…

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Darnell Washington has officially revealed his true weight. Despite being listed at 265 pounds, broadcasts began listing Washington at ‘300-plus’ pounds.

No one denied that, and tight ends coach Alfredo Roberts said a year ago that Washington was over 300 pounds. Nowadays, that still holds true.

Appearing on the St. Brown Podcast, Washington officially said that he is 311 pounds this season, which is actually down from a year ago.

“I ain’t finna going cap to y’all. I ain’t weigh myself in a minute, but I know. I’mma keep it a buck, I’m 311." Washington said.

Known as ‘Mount Washington’ given his height at 6-foot-7 and his weight, Washington noted in OTAs that he ended up shedding some weight to become more agile and dangerous as a pass catcher this season.

“Yeah, I dropped about 10 to 15 pounds,” Washington said this May. “I feel a lot better. I just thought it was something I needed to see happen.”

Washington has become a ferocious blocker over the last three seasons, and now is starting to break out as a pass catcher. Overall, he has come up on the Steelers depth chart and often leads the team in snaps given just how dominant of a blocker he is from down-to-down.

They have utilized Washington in their heavy personnel packages, and his inclusion has consistently opened up the rushing attack for the Steelers. Pittsburgh’s sixth offensive line package has been anchored by Washington and guard Spencer Anderson.
