Arsenal are keeping tabs on FC Nordsjaelland midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi, according to reports.
The Daily Mail claim that Gunners scouts have been watching the 19-year-old, having labelled him as “one for the future”.

However, there will be competition for Yirenkyi’s signature, though, with Bournemouth said to be targeting him.
A lot could depend on whether the Cherries are willing to match the teenager’s asking price, which is said to stand at £20m.
Yirenkyi has been likened to a former Premier League winner
The Ghanaian international has drawn comparisons to fellow countryman Michael Essien. The former Chelsea star (who won two Premier League titles), is actually coaching Yirenkyi at the moment. He is assistant manager to Jens Fonsskov Olsen.
Yirenkyi is likely to be getting plenty of advice from Essien, and it seems as if his development is taking a similar course to his mentor. Essien got his first big move to Lyon at the age of 20, having started his career at Bastia. He then madem the switch to Stamford Bridge a couple of years later.
Arsenal have been linked with several midfielders recently
Manager Mikel Arteta is not short of options in the middle of the park, with the likes of Martin Zubimendi, Declan Rice, Christian Norgaard and Mikel Merino all at his disposal.
However, with Norgaard and Merino either side of 30, the London club are seemingly looking for long-term replacements.
In addition to Yirenkyi, Stuttgart’s Chema Andres and Hacken’s Silas Andersen have been mentioned as transfer targets over the past couple of weeks. For now, it appears as if scouts have only been given a watching brief, but there is a decent chance that one of these players, or potentially another midfielder, will be pursued at the end of the season or in the next 18 months or so.
