The Philadelphia Eagles (8-2) are still the only team above .500 in the NFC East after beating the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football. The Dallas Cowboys (4-5-1) got a win out of their bye, while the Washington Commanders (3-8) lost in Spain and the New York Giants (2-9) lost to the San Francisco 49ers. With the Eagles currently the only team in the division even close to the playoff hunt, let’s take a look at the Week 12 NFC East Power Rankings.
#4 New York Giants (2-9)
Giants QB Jaxson Dart
New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart (6) talks with players after winning the Thursday Night Football game between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on Oct. 9, 2025.
The New York Giants have played a lot of close games this season, but they’ve been on the wrong side of most of them as they’ve now lost six one-score games. Sunday’s 27-20 loss to the Green Bay Packers was no exception as the Giants couldn’t overcome all the injuries they’ve had to deal with – including QB Jaxson Dart.

The Washington Commanders have now lost six in a row after losing 16-13 to the Miami Dolphins in Spain. They’ve dealt with a lot of injuries this season, and will likely have to play without Jayden Daniels for the rest of the season. After such a surprisingly great 2024 season, the Commanders are on their way to a surprisingly disappointing 2025 season.
#2 Dallas Cowboys (4-5-1)

The Dallas Cowboys had lost two in a row heading into their bye, but turned things around on Monday Night Football with a 33-16 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Dak Prescott added four touchdowns on the night as the Cowboys revamped defense held the Raiders to 16 points. The matchups will get tougher, but the Cowboys’ deadline deals paid off for one week.

The Philadelphia Eagles offense has been struggling for most of the season, but they didn’t need them in the 16-9 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football. Philadelphia’s defense has looked like the best defense in the league as of late, and they’re currently set up to vie for homefield advantage throughout the playoffs as they hold a tiebreaker over the Los Angeles Rams.

What’s Next?
The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys will square off on Sunday in Dallas, while the New York Giants will head to Detroit for a matchup with the Lions. The Washington Commanders have hit their much-needed bye week and will look to get healthy for a Week 13 matchup against the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football. With seven weeks to go, there’s a very good chance that the Eagles will be the lone NFC East representative in the playoffs.
