Everton had a superb transfer window in terms of bringing creativity to the club over the summer months with David Moyes’ side looking a lot more potent going forwards.
However, one incident that has been brewing elsewhere in the Premier League means that a transfer incident has thrown itself up to Everton boss David Moyes ahead of the January transfer window.
Moyes has previously admitted that Everton will be looking at potential deals over the course of the winter months, leaving fans excited at any potential business over the coming weeks.
And with Manchester City star Nathan Ake reportedly growing annoyed at a lack of minutes at the Etihad Stadium, it has offered David Moyes a second bite of the cherry in terms of landing the Dutchman.

Manchester City star Nathan Ake could want out in January over lack of game time
In terms of priority transfers, Everton are in need of a left-back, that much is for certain.
Vitaliy Mykolenko is out of contract in the summer and could opt for a move elsewhere prior to the World Cup, whilst young summer signing Adam Aznou, who joined from Bayern Munich, has yet to feature for the first-team.
A left-back is much-needed, and with that in mind, a report from the Daily Mail has stated that Ake is frustrated after having started just one Premier League game this season, coming against Everton in a 2-0 win, incidentally.
Where will Everton finish this season?
MORE EVERTON STORIES
He’s regarded by the report as ‘one to watch’ in the January window – and although his relationship with Pep Guardiola is ‘very strong’, there may be an opportunity for Everton to delve back in for his signature.
Ake was linked with a move to Everton as recently as August, but an injury to Rayan Ait-Nouri meant he was needed.
However, a lack of game time for Ake means that he could be on track for the exit door once again.
Nathan Ake would be the perfect addition for Everton
Of the 356 games he’s played in his career, Ake has featured in 79 matches at left-back, which is just under 25 percent.
With 240 Premier League games for Watford, Bournemouth and Manchester City, the Dutchman clearly has the talent to star in the Premier League and at the age of just 30, he’s got plenty of years left in the tank.
Everton could also do with a left-footed centre-back at present due to Jarrad Branthwaite’s injury, with Ake being more than suitable as a replacement during his absence.
It’s one of those links where the move just makes complete sense. Ake isn’t getting any minutes at left-back any time soon due to Josko Gvardiol’s emergence and the signing of Rayan Ait-Nouri in the summer, and centre-back places are tough to come by.
Everton, meanwhile, would be adding Premier League experience and a player who has fared in 29 Champions League games, as they bid to qualify for a continental tournament.
Furthermore, Ake would link down the left with Jack Grealish once again after their spell together at Manchester City.
