Boyd, who is recovering in the hospital after being shot in the abdomen,wrote, “God is real, God is powerful!” and “I’m sorry I have no words at the moment..Just grateful!”.

He shared a picture of himself in a hospital bed, where he wrote that he is “coming along, starting to breathe on my own now”.
He concluded his message by writing, “Sincerely appreciate everyone!”.
Boyd is in stable condition and recovering after being shot in the abdomen on Sunday morning. He has since undergone multiple surgeries.
He wascritically injured as the incident took place outside the restaurant Sei Less in Midtown Manhattan around 2 a.m. on Sunday, following a dispute.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) is searching for the gunman, who fled the scene, and has released surveillance images of a suspect. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
Boyd signed a one-year contract with the Jets this offseason but was placed on season-ending injured reserve in August with a shoulder injury. He has not played a game this season.

New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn confirmed he spoke with Boyd and felt confident the veteran defensive back would make a full recovery.
“That’s what eases my mind, is that he’s in good spirits,” Glenn told reporters. “His wife and his kid, they’re in good spirits, and he will walk away from this just fine.”
Glenn praised Boyd’s resilience and positivity during their conversation.
The coach declined to comment on Boyd’s football future. He emphasized that the focus must remain on the player’s physical and emotional well-being.
Team officials and players have rallied around Boyd, with other players expressing support publicly. The Jets organization has provided support and resources to the family during this time.
Before signing a one-year, $1.6 million contract with the Jets, Boyd was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2019. He spent four seasons with the team before joining the Arizona Cardinals in 2023 and later that season, the Houston Texans’ practice squad.
He is known primarily as a special teams player.
