Newcastle United v Man City - Joe Buck preview
Newcastle United news: The Premier League have finally revealed the TV picks for January’s matches.
The last set of TV fixture announcements revealed that the Magpies’ home games against Crystal Palace and Leeds United, on 4th and 7th January, would be shown on Sky Sports. And on Thursday, the Premier League confirmed that all three of Newcastle United’s remaining Premier League games in January will move for TV.
The first of these changes has seen their trip to Molineux to face Wolves has been pushed back by a day. That game will now take place on Sunday 18 January (2pm kick-off) and be shown on Sky Sports.
A week later, Aston Villa make the trip to St James’ Park in a match that, although only confirmed on Thursday, was always going to move dates because of Villa’s Europa League commitments. That game between Eddie Howe and Unai Emery’s sides will kick-off at 2pm and also be broadcast by Sky Sports.
Newcastle United will conclude January with a trip to Anfield. In one of the more highly anticipated matches of the season, the Magpies will face Liverpool on Saturday 31 January.
That game will be shown by TNT Sports, however, because of the pair’s Champions League commitments, that game won’t kick-off until 8pm.
The Champions League league phase will end on Wednesday 28 January with all 18 games to kick-off simultaneously. Newcastle United, on that day, face a daunting trip to current European champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Liverpool, who sit below the Magpies in the Champions League table, face a much easier game that week when they host Azerbaijani outfit Qarabag at Anfield. An announcement surrounding which games have been picked for TV coverage in February is due next month.
The most recent set of changes means that 12 of Newcastle United’s next 13 Premier League games will be broadcast live on TV in the United Kingdom. The only match in that time that won’t be shown on TV in the UK is their clash with Burnley at St James’ Park on Saturday 6 December. That game remains a 3pm kick-off.
