"He's an absolute superstar" - John Terry lavishes praise on Chelsea youngster for his performances this season

Chelsea legend John Terry has praised teenage sensation Estevao Willian for his displays for the club this season. The young Brazilian has earned rave reviews since arriving in Europe from Palmeiras in the summer, and is considered as one of the world's finest young players.

Terry praised the 18-year-old forward for his 'incredible' showings for the club, referring to him as a superstar. He also reserved some praise for coach Enzo Maresca over how he has looked to gradually introduce the youngster since the start of the campaign.

"He’s an absolute superstar and what he’s doing at the age he’s at is absolutely incredible as well. What I love is that the manager is looking after him. I think the fans and a few of us would like to see a bit more game-time at times, but as a young kid you’ve go to be broken into the team in little bits. We have an early kick-off away to Burnley at the weekend and that’ll be new to him because he hasn’t really experienced these early kick-offs so it’ll be interesting to see what the manager does. He’s shown in the big games that he’s more than capable of dealing with it at this young age", he said (via metro.co.uk).

Chelsea beat competition from some of Europe's biggest sides to sign Estevao in 2024, with a view to the youngster joining them once he turned 18. His transfer to Stamford Bridge was heavily anticipated, and he has exceeded expectations since his arrival at the club.

With Cole Palmer out injured, the crafty Brazilian has been one to get the Blues faithful off their seats with a flick or trick. Estevao has proven himself to be a player with substance, as he has found the net nine times for club and country since the commencement of the 2025-26 season. The youngster has started just four league games as Maresca continues to protect him as he continues to adapt to life in Europe.

Chelsea star set to push for January exit: Reports

Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen is set to push to leave the Premier League side in the January transfer window, as per reports. The former Villarreal man has been at Stamford Bridge since the summer of 2024 but has failed to win a starting berth at the club.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Jorgensen is considering his future and is keen to play regularly in the second half of the season, particularly with the FIFA World Cup coming up next summer. The 23-year-old has played a second fiddle role to Robert Sanchez since his arrival at Chelsea, leading him to consider an exit.

Filip Jorgensen has played just once in the Premier League this season and three more times in cup competitions. The Denmark international played 23 times in his debut season for Enzo Maresca's side, but the resurgence of first-choice 'keeper Sanchez has left him without ample playing time.
