There appears to be no bad blood between Eli Manning and Tom Brady now that time has passed since their decades-long rivalry in the NFL.
Manning and Brady — who recently gave priceless advice to another former quarterback — had no shortage of tense run-ins while playing for the New York Giants and New England Patriots, respectively.

During their most memorable faceoffs in Super Bowl XLII and XLVI, Manning got the better of Brady both times while propelling the Giants to improbable victories. New York’s 17-14 win over the Patriots in February 2008 remains one of the biggest upsets in the history of North American sports, as New England entered the Big Game with an 18-0 record and the chance at the second-ever perfect season.

While making an appearance on ‘Pardon My Take’ last month, Manning was asked if Brady still holds any resentment towards him, given their history. “I don’t think Tom hates me,” he replied.
“I mean, I love to heckle Tom on social media. I like hiding behind my phone and, you know, sending tweets at him. But when I see him in person, it’s like, ‘Oh, hey Tom! You’re the best.’
“Like, I never talk trash to him in person because he can crush you. He’s got seven Super Bowls, and he’s MVP of the league and all this. But I’m very brave behind my social media account.”
Given how much Brady achieved over his decorated career, Manning reaffirmed that his playful jabs at the seven-time Super Bowl champion are reserved exclusively for social media.

"It's one of those things, it's not something I ever say or ever think a lot about," he told The New York Post back in 2021. "I've been around Tom numerous times, and I've never brought up a Super Bowl or our games versus them.
“He actually brings it up. It still bothers him a little bit, especially the '07 one, when they had the chance to go down as the greatest team of all time. But I don't have any bragging rights with Tom.”
Though Manning and Brady haven’t clashed on the gridiron in quite some time, the pair of NFL legends continue to take unsubtle digs at one another from time to time.
After missing Netflix’s 'Roast of Tom Brady' last May, Manning wrote on X: "I thought about attending the Roast of Tom Brady last night, but I did not want to Roast him for a 3rd time!"

Brady returned the favor at the start of the 2025 NFL campaign while calling a Week 1 matchup between the Giants and Washington Commanders.
While assessing New York’s trio of quarterbacks — including Jaxson Dart, Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston — the 48-year-old said: “I really love this QB room.
“I love how they’ve developed it. In fact, I think any Giants quarterback room that doesn’t involve Eli Manning, I like.”
