BEREA, Ohio — Browns defensive Alex Wright got some good news on Thursday while recovering from his quad injury.

He agreed with the Browns on a three-year contract extension worth $33 million, including $21 million guaranteed, a league source confirmed for cleveland.com.

Wright, who returned to his starting job opposite Myles Garrett four games ago, was off to a good season in his return from a torn triceps, notching three sacks for third on the team.

Wright’s best season came in 2023 when he finished second on the team with 5.0 sacks.

He suffered the quad injury in the loss to the Jets, and sat out the 23-16 loss to the Ravens.
