The Lions will be looking to bounce back from a 16-9 loss to the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday night. The offense appeared lackluster in the loss, with quarterback Jared Goff throwing just one touchdown to Jameson Williams. The run game also struggled to get things going, as Jahmyr Gibbs led the team with 39 rushing yards.
The loss dropped the Lions to 6-4 and from first place to third place in the highly competitive NFC North division. The Chicago Bears now lead the division with a 7-3 record, and the Green Bay Packers are in second place with a 6-3-1 record.
The Lions last played the Giants in 2022 and earned a 31-18 victory on the road, when the team was just starting to find its footing under Dan Campbell.
