During the preseason, the Green Bay Packers were seen as a strong contender to win the NFC. However, they were still looking to improve.
They knew it was time to make a big move. With the Dallas Cowboys and Micah Parsons not on the same page, the Packers made the most of the situation.
Green Bay had to pay a steep price to trade for the All-Pro pass rusher, and even more to sign him for the long run. Fast forward to today, and it’s clear that it was the right decision.
The Packers brought him along slowly, but stats show how Parsons keeps producing elite disruption.
According to The 33rd Team, Parsons ranks fourth in the NFL in pressure rate among players with at least five sacks this season (18.4%, 8.0 sacks).
Highest pressure rates among players with 5+ sacks this season:
1. Nik Bonitto (21%/9.5)
2. Will Anderson Jr. (20.4%/8.0)
3. Aidan Hutchinson (18.5%/7.5)
4. Micah Parsons (18.4%/8.0)
5. George Karlaftis (18.4%/5.0) pic.twitter.com/orwbSxIBSD

Parsons trails only Nik Bonitto, Will Anderson Jr. and Aidan Hutchinson, and will look to close the gap starting in Week 12 against the Minnesota Vikings.
While Parsons drew criticism for his character at times, not producing in big moments for Dallas, his talent has always been undeniable. He is making an impact in Green Bay, which has one of the best defenses in the NFL.
It’s rare that a young pass rusher who hasn’t even reached his prime becomes available for a trade. That’s why the Packers made the deal, regardless of the high price.
