Report: Geovany Quenda is watching videos of three other forwards ahead of Chelsea move

Sporting Lisbon youngster Geovany Quenda looks determined to hit the ground running at Chelsea.

Quenda is set to join Chelsea next year, handing Enzo Maresca another exciting winger option.

The Premier League is widely regarded as the best football division in the world, so the transition may not be an easy one for the 18-year-old.

Would Endrick be a good signing for Chelsea?

However, Quenda is seemingly doing all he can to ensure that it does not take him too long to adapt to English football.

Geovany Quenda has been watching videos of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lamine Yamal and Neymar

According to football.london, ahead of his move to west London, Quenda is currently watching videos of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lamine Yamal and Neymar to try and improve his own game.

The same outlet has also claimed that the Portuguese has been doing muscle-strengthening to prepare himself for the physicality of the Premier League.

Chelsea are going to face one of the players Quenda has been watching next week, Yamal.

Yamal and Barcelona travel to Stamford Bridge for their next Champions League fixture. It is a game that Chelsea will probably have to try and win without their star man.

Cole Palmer is a doubt for the Barcelona tie, with the attacking midfielder not fully over his groin injury yet.

Geovany Quenda arrival could have ramifications for Pedro Neto

Not everyone will be excited about Quenda’s move to Chelsea next summer. It could prove to be quite problematic for his compatriot Pedro Neto, for example.

Maresca will find it impossible to keep the trio of right wingers Neto, Quenda and Estevao Willian all satisfied. Either Neto or Estevao may need to go to make room for Quenda, and it is definitely not going to be the latter.

Chelsea have high hopes for Estevao, believing that he will become one of the best players in the world.

Last summer, Chelsea sold Noni Madueke, which opened up space for Estevao in Maresca’s squad. It would not be a complete shock if they did the same thing with Neto to facilitate Quenda’s arrival.
