Everton and Man Utd team news ahead of the Premier League fixture at Old Trafford.

Everton return to action after the international break when they face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday (8pm GMT).

The Toffees have not beaten the Red Devils on their own patch for 13 years - but they’ll be hoping that can change. David Moyes’ side have enjoyed a decent start to the 2025-26 season and comfortably earned a 2-0 win over Fulham last time out.

But they have picked up only four points on their travels so far and that needs to improve if Everton have hopes of potentially securing a top-half finish.

United have had their well-documented troubles over the past decade but there are some signs that they’re heading in the right direction under Ruben Amorim. They are unbeaten in their past five matches and netted a stoppage-time equaliser to earn a dramatic 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in their previous game.

Ahead of the clash between United and Everton, here’s a look at the current team news for both sides.

Everton team news

Jarrad Branthwaite - out

The centre-back, wanted by Manchester United in the past, is still to make an appearance this season. Branthwaite is recovering from a serious hamstring injury that required surgery.

Nathan Patterson - doubt

The right-back has been struggling with a foot issue, as well as a hernia that required a minor operation.

Man Utd team news

Benjamin Sesko - out

The striker suffered a knee injury before the international break. Reports suggest that Sesko will be unavailable for around a month.

Lisandro Martinez - doubt

The centre-back has been on the treatment table for a long-term period because of a knee injury. Martinez is closing in on a return to the first-team fray and trained with Argentina during the international break but United will understandably be cautious.

Harry Maguire - doubt

The experienced defender was forced off against Tottenham with a suspected hamstring complaint. The break will have helped Maguire but the Red Devils will not want to aggravate the problem.

Kobbie Mainoo - minor doubt

The midfielder has to miss the Tottenham game because of a knock. It was not described as serious so he is likely to be back but much will depend on his recovery.
