The Minnesota Vikings appear to be getting center Ryan Kelly back from injury, which is good news.
But that means another guy has to lose his roster spot. Such is life in the NFL.
The Vikings have waived cornerback Dwight McGlothern, who was once a 4-star recruit to LSU who also played at Arkansas before being an undrafted free agent into the NFL.

Minnesota's cornerback depth isn't great, but the Vikings may have felt that McGlothern was a guy they could get through waivers and then get back onto the practice squad.
He had eight interceptions in his last three college seasons, seven of those with the Razorbacks.
McGlothern is 23 years old and has solid size for a corner at 6-foot-2.
He has appeared in 13 NFL games but not made a single tackle.
Through the 2024 and 2025 stints with Minnesota, which comprise those 13 games, McGlothern has played 50 snaps on defense and 33 snaps on special teams.
There's nothing about McGlothern's resume that makes him seem like a must-keep player.
But now he's entering into a tricky part in his NFL career, where he has to prove on Minnesota's practice squad or elsewhere that he still deserves to be around. Sometimes that's easier said than done.
