Davis Mills' neck has NFL fans paying attention to the Texans' backup QB

Davis Mills is a quality NFL backup quarterback.

In fact, he's proven he can be a starter in a pinch. He's played each of the past two weeks for the Houston Texans and gotten wins, and he'll try to do the same thing on Thursday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills as C.J. Stroud remains out with a concussion.

But there's something else football fans have a tendency to notice about Mills: his neck.

To put it simply: Mills has a way-longer-than-average neck.

He's talked about it in the past, too.

A few years ago, Mills remarked that his mom wanted him to reach out to turtleneck companies to get sponsorships.

Mama Mills has a point.

Mills is listed at 6-foot-4. How much of that bonus height is the neck?

It's not a bad thing, though. Short quarterbacks can struggle to see over the offensive line and down the field. Mills definitely doesn't have that problem.

The former Stanford star has done very well for himself in being reliable when called upon in the NFL, and this latest stint as a starter is no different.

The Texans are underdogs on Thursday night, in large part because the Bills have Josh Allen. But Allen doesn't have Mills' neck, and that's gotta count for something.
