Bears injury report: CB Jaylon Johnson practices in full, 3 starting LBs still out

Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson practiced in full Thursday for the first time since the Bears opened his window to return from injured reserve.

He’s recovering from groin injury and it’s unclear if he’d be able to play Sunday against the Steelers — or whether the Bears would rather save him to make his debut on Black Friday in Philadelphia.

The Bears, meanwhile, continue to practice without any of their three starting linebackers.

Tremaine Edmunds (groin), T.J. Edwards (hamstring) and Noah Sewell (elbow) all sat out Thursday’s practice. Edwards isn’t expected to play, while Edmunds and Sewell are recovering from injuries suffered Sunday against the Vikings.

Running backs Roschon Johnson (thumb) and Travis Homer (hamstring/knee) were also out. Guard Joe Thuney got his regular Thursday veteran rest day.

Cornerback Kyler Gordon, whose 21-day window to return from injured reserve opened Wednesday, was a limited participant for the second straight day because of a hamstring injury.
