The Miami Dolphins have been much better lately. They have won three of their past four games to remain on the fringes of playoff contention.
They still have a long way to go, but the energy around the team has been different. With that in mind, Dolphins defender Jack Jones spoke out about the team’s recent success.
“Throughout the whole year, we knew we were a good team. It was something missing. The games that we were losing, it was a close game. It was just something in the building where it was like, we know we got it, but we gotta find it. Once we find it, we’re not gonna let it go. We’re gonna capitalize on it, and I think that’s where we’re at,” Jones said.

The Dolphins fired general manager Chris Grier, and it seemed that head coach Mike McDaniel was about to be next. It even seemed that quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was going to lose his starting spot.
Also, they traded away pass rusher Jaelan Phillips, who’s now thriving with the Philadelphia Eagles, so it seemed that Miami was ready to throw in the towel. Fortunately for its fans, that didn’t happen.
The Dolphins lost three close games earlier in the season. They were a couple of unlucky bounces or bad decisions from being a true playoff contender at this point.
That being said, they still have a chance, although they have to approach every game like a playoff game. They will face the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets before a tough closing stretch against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Bengals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots.
