Three ways Man United could line up in attack without Benjamin Sesko vs Everton

Manchester United will host Everton in the Premier League on Monday.

The Red Devils are now in the seventh spot in the Premier League after being unbeaten in the last five games.

Manager Ruben Amorim now faces one of his biggest selection dilemmas of the season, with star striker Benjamin Sesko expected to miss the next few weeks.

With United almost certain to stick with a 3-4-2-1 setup, we believe Amorim has three intriguing ways to shape his attack against the Toffees.

First PL start for Joshua Zirkzee

Zirkzee has played for only 82 minutes across four appearances in the league this season.

He has yet to start a Premier League game, but Monday night might finally open that door.

With Sesko sidelined, Zirkzee is the only natural striker at Amorim’s disposal.

His aerial dominance and physical presence could give United a classic target man.

Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo have starred for United and could continue in their roles behind the centre forward.

Mason Mount as False nine

Mount has looked razor-sharp this season, even as Amorim has carefully managed his minutes.

The head coach really likes Mount as he is a perfect fit for his system.

The former Chelsea star knows the 3-4-2-1 formation inside out from his time at Stamford Bridge.

He works tirelessly without the ball, a trait the manager highly admires.

Mount could be deployed in the number nine role.

He could drop deeper to link up the play before spraying it wide for Cunha and Mbeumo on either side of him.

New role for Bruno Fernandes

Although Bruno Fernandes is one of the finest attacking midfielders in world football, Amorim has consistently deployed him in a deeper role this season.

His recent hat-trick for Portugal against Armenia was a reminder of just how devastating he can be further forward.

He also has an extraordinary record against Everton, scoring six goals and registering five assists in 11 league encounters.

We believe Amorim should unleash Fernandes from the left number 10 spot with Mbeumo on his opposite side and Cunha operating as the number nine.

This could also open the door to give Kobbie Mainoo a chance in midfield alongside Casemiro.
