Houston Texans’ 2x Pro Bowler Bites Back at NFL Insider’s Report

The Houston Texans have had a challenging season, filled with injuries, disappointing performances, and other issues, especially on offense. They haven’t even had franchise quarterback C.J. Stroud for the past two games, which ironically were both wins.

Sitting at 5-5 is definitely not what the Texans had in mind. It also hasn’t helped that the Texans haven’t had two-time Pro Bowl running back Joe Mixon at all this season.

On Thursday, NFL Network’s trusted insider Ian Rapoport revealed that Mixon is “not expected to play at all this season as he deals with a foot injury from the offseason.”

Evidently, Mixon didn’t agree with Rapoport’s news because he took to X to respond, asking Ian, “How do you know more about me than me?”

Now, I get everyone’s looking for splash news & clickbait… but I’m just curious, Ian how do you know more about me than me? 🤔

The Texans just released former fourth-round pick Dameon Pierce on Thursday. They still have Nick Chubb, Dare Ogunbowale, and 2025 fourth-round pick Woody Marks on the roster. Houston also has 2024 sixth-round pick Jordan Jawhar on the practice squad.
