Is Keon Coleman playing tonight? Rumors swirl over Bills WRs availability for TNF

Buffalo Bills receiver Keon Coleman is going through a tough time right now after being a healthy scratch for last week's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It wasn't the first time Keon had been disciplined by the Bills this season, but there was a sense that now is the time for Coleman to come on as a player, as he has battled inconsistent form on the field.

But the Bills are on a short week with the Houston Texans on the schedule on Thursday night, and there have been rumors swirling that Coleman will again be a healthy scratch.

Granted, there is nothing official about Coleman's status for tonight's game, but there are now multiple rumors that Keon will once again be a healthy scratch, and considering the Bills will be without Curtis Samuel and Mecole Hardman, the offense is down on receivers, so if Keon isn't playing, that does send a rather strong message.

What could second straight inactive mean for Coleman?

Well, it wouldn't be a good thing, that is for sure, and we have seen many comments on social media that if he is a healthy scratch again, it could be the end for him in Buffalo.

Now, I tap the brakes on that because he is only in his second season, so it is unlikely the Bills will part ways with him this season (I could be wrong), and we have seen players turn it around before.

Head coach Sean McDermott was non-committal this week when asked if Keon would play, stating "we'll see," and if the rumors we are hearing turn out to be true, then Coleman would need to do something substantial to get back on the field in the short term.

Either way, Coleman is having a tough time of it right now, and Dion Dawkins stated he's in Coleman's corner, but as far as the Bills? There might be some doubt.
