Filip Jorgensen has potential, but it is very unlikely that he will ever reach the heights of Chelsea legend Petr Cech.
Cech was one of the greatest goalkeepers of his era and contributed to Chelsea winning multiple Premier League titles and one Champions League trophy.
Jorgensen is open to leaving Chelsea, so he is unlikely to even be at Stamford Bridge long enough to help the Blues compete for such honours.
Who is Chelsea’s best ever player?
However, last season, there was one game where Chelsea fans probably thought that Jorgensen was going to become the next Cech or Thibaut Courtois!

Filip Jorgensen’s world-class performance vs Heidenheim
It perhaps went under the radar because of the competition and level of opposition he was playing against, but Jorgensen’s performance away at Heidenheim last November was one of the best performances a Chelsea goalkeeper has ever put in.
Chelsea beat the German side 2-0 in the Conference League but really should have drawn. According to Sofascore, Jorgensen prevented 2.04 goals.
In total, the 23-year-old made 11 saves, with seven of them coming from inside the box. After that, everyone was expecting him to kick on and replace Robert Sanchez as No.1.
Unfortunately for the Denmark international, that never happened and he is now possibly set to leave Chelsea after less than two seasons at the club.
If that does happen, Chelsea can always turn to Mike Penders as a replacement for him.

Chelsea should still offload Filip Jorgensen
Because Chelsea have such a promising goalkeeper like Penders on their books, they should allow Jorgensen to depart if that is what he desires.
Penders can easily come in for the former Villarreal man and challenge Sanchez for the No.1 spot. He is having a good season on loan at Strasbourg so far, keeping five clean sheets in Ligue 1.
Who is Chelsea’s best goalkeeper?
Ultimately, Penders is just one reason why Chelsea are in a position where they can afford to let Jorgensen go.
Jorgensen has not put in another performance like his one against Heidenheim and does not have the same ability as Cech. A departure could now be best for everyone.
