Eagles' new Week 12 injury report delivers desperately-needed Cam Jurgens news

A collective sigh of relief has just flowed through the city of Philadelphia after getting the new Eagles injury report ahead of their Week 12 showdown with the Dallas Cowboys.

Eagles center Cam Jurgens was back at practice after missing their first practice of the week. Jurgens is working his way back to playing after suffering a concussion in the 16-9 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 11.

Starting right tackle Lane Johnson was the only player to miss practice due to his foot injury. Johnson is not expected to be for potentially 4 to 6 weeks, so anything beyond him practicing this week would be a stunner.

The Eagles did get better news on edge rusher Jaelan Phillips, who was a full participant in practice with a shoulder injury. Two other players were also full participants, including offensive linemen Myles Hinton (back) and Willie Lampkin (knee/ankle).

Much better injury report for the Eagles with the Jurgens news

After the news of Johnson's missing time, the Eagles need all the players back they can. Jurgens has gone through the ringer with injuries this year, from his back to a knee injury that cost him two games. Brett Toth replaced him in the lineup during that time.

Johnson will be replaced by Fred Johnson, as the backup lineman has received positive feedback from his head coach, Nick Sirianni, who has shown support for him. The interesting part will be monitoring how long Lane Johnson will be out for.

Phillips' injury doesn't look as bad, which is good news since he has been such a key acquisition for this Eagles team. He's coming off having his first sack as a member of the Eagles in the win over the Lions.
