Ravens' Lamar Jackson reveals need for O-Line talk after eye-popping sack numbers

The Baltimore Ravens have gotten themselves back to .500 thanks to a nice four-game win streak, as Lamar Jackson's return has coincided with an uptick in form.

But things haven't been all smooth sailing for Jackson and Co., with the two-time MVP having poor outings in Baltimore's last two games, but the Ravens have won both, so things are still trending in the right direction.

However, there has been one thing that has caught the eye, which is that Lamar, after Myles Garrett feasted to the tune of 4.0 sacks and Jackson was sacked five times in total in Week 11, has pushed his sack number to 23 for the year in seven games.

Why does that matter? Well, as it turns out, last season, in 17 games, Lamar was sacked 23 times.

"I got to talk to the offensive line about that," Jackson said via ESPN. "I'm going to holler at my guys about that."

Are sacks a problem for Ravens and Lamar?

Going by the numbers, you would have to say so.

Lamar has been sacked three or more times in four of his seven games, so the offensive line is at times struggling to protect their star.

Granted, Garrett feasts on just about anyone now, but surely fixing Lamar's protection will be job No.1 this week as Baltimore gears up for the New York Jets in Week 12.

It hasn't been the best of seasons overall, but the Ravens have found their groove of late, even if Jackson has been getting sacked at an alarming rate.

Still within a shot of the AFC North and a playoff spot, Baltimore knows it must keep its foot on the gas and extend this winning streak to make sure of their spot in the postseason.

And not having Lamar pick himself up off the turf constantly is a good way to do it.
