Chiefs coach insults President Trump: ‘He has no idea’

The Kansas City Chiefs are in crisis mode. The Chiefs’ loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday dropped the team to 5-5 on the season. Kansas City, which made the Super Bowl last season, is not only behind the Broncos in the AFC West but is also looking up at the Los Angeles Chargers in the standings and is outside the AFC playoff picture entirely as things stand.

In the middle of their worst season in recent memory, it’s expected that tensions would be high. However, most people would still expet a certain level of respect held for the nation’s highest office, which is currently held by Donald Trump, the 45th and 47th President of the United States.

That was not the case when it came to Chiefs special teams coordinator Dave Toub, who insulted Trump’s football acumen due to his criticisms of the NFL’s dynamic kickoffs.

“He doesn’t even know what he’s looking at. He has no idea what’s going on. Take that for what it’s worth. And I hope he hears it,” Toub said.

Fans reacted to Toub’s statement on social media.

“Harrison Butker about to boycott the chiefs organization,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“I was going to say way to make half the country hate your team… but it’s the Chiefs, they already got that covered and then some,” someone else added.

“Glad we’ve gotten the opinion of a football teams special teams coach on the president. That was important to hear from him,” one person responded.

It’ll be interesting to see how Trump responds.
