Buffalo Bills at Houston Texans Week 12 news, game coverage

The Buffalo Bills are in H-Town for Week 12, looking to take home a W at the Houston Texans’ expense. A win in NRG Stadium would be a first for head coach Sean McDermott and quarterback Josh Allen, among other long-tenured players and team personnel at One Bills Drive.

Buffalo’s top-ranked offense goes up against Houston’s top-ranked defense, and something has to give. Does Allen have to do it all alone again this week? Offensive coordinator Joe Brady would be wise to try leaning a bit on running back James Cook III early and often, allowing Allen to complement that with in-rhythm passes to favorable routes.

The concern, of course, is that Buffalo has one of the worst run defenses in recent memory. In the last two games alone, the Bills have surrendered a wink under 400 yards on the ground. The Texans don’t have the most productive offensive backfield, but running back Nick Chubb could be looking to remind people about his talent and rise above Houston’s deficiencies in setting up run lanes.

Something’s gotta give in Week 12!
