Packers’ Tucker Kraft still making contributions despite brutal injury

Losing tight end Tucker Kraft to a season-ending injuryis indeed a massive blow to the Green Bay Packers, particularly to theirJordan Love-led attack.

Before suffering an ACL injury in Week 9’s loss at home to the Carolina Panthers, Kraft was leading Green Bay in passing yards and was a reliable red zone weapon for Love. Now, the Packers have to find ways to keep their head above water without Kraft, who was on pace to become the first Green Bay tight end in history to have at least 1,000 yards in a season until suffering the said injury.

But just because he will be spending the rest of the 2025 NFL season watching his team from the sidelines, it doesn’t mean that Kraft has stopped making an impact on his team. Even though he’s not suiting up, Kraft is making sure he’s being felt by the team.

ViaMatt Schneidman of The Athletic:

Packers TE coach John Dunn said Tucker Kraft is still in constant communication with him about things he’s seeing even after tearing his ACL in Week 9. Said Kraft is never far away from the team and his energy is contagious.

In eight games played in the 2025 season, the 25-year-old Kraft garnered a total of 489 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 32 receptions and 44 targets. His most productive game of the season was in Week 8 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, in which he posted a career-high 143 receiving yards and two touchdowns on seven catches.

Green Bay tight end Tucker Kraft is carted off the field after suffering a knee injury against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. The Panthers won the game, 16-13, on a 49-yard field goal as time expired.
