Tyler Dibling signed for Everton in the summer after being linked with a move to Manchester United from Southampton, although the young winger has not hit the ground running at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Manchester United signed five players in the summer, with the majority of the new arrivals bolstering the squad’s attacking department.
Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha joined having already proven themselves in the Premier League, while Benjamin Sesko joined from RB Leipzig at the end of the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils were linked with many attacking players, including Tyler Dibling, following his exciting emergence at Southampton.
United showed an interest in many players they didn’t sign because they settled on other targets. There won’t be many fans who would rather have Dibling over Mbeumo or Cunha, though.

Tyler Dibling is yet to earn spot in Everton XI
United were quoted £100m for Dibling, but he eventually joined Everton in a deal worth £40 million.
Southampton’s close connection with Jason Wilcox meant little when United were unable to get Dibling at a reasonable price, which was the reason Ineos looked elsewhere before negotiating a deal to sign Cunha and Mbeumo.
Nobody will complain about that now as Mbeumo has scored six goals since joining from Brentford. The Cameroon international also won the Premier League Player of the Month award in October.

While Cunha hasn’t been scoring goals as regularly, the Brazil international has been an influential figure in the final third, especially in United’s memorable 2-1 win over Liverpool.
In comparison, Dibling has not had the start at Everton he would have wanted after bursting onto the scene last season in the Premier League.

The 19-year-old has been limited to just four appearances in the Premier League this season, last appearing as a substitute in a four-minute cameo as Southampton lost 2-0 against Man City last month.
Everton won’t be pressing the panic button anytime soon because Dibling is a work in progress.
The reason for the limited game time may be down to David Moyes trying to ease Dibling into his team with fiercer competition for places than he previously experienced at Southampton.
What did Rio Ferdinand say about Tyler Dibling?
Rio Ferdinand was quick to praise Dibling when he got the better of Diogo Dalot in his first-ever Premier League start last season.
Speaking on his Rio Ferdinand Presents YouTube channel, he said: “He came in and blew everyone’s socks off. That was the sort of introduction where you come into football and make everyone go ‘listen, whoa, who is this kid?’
“And he had that, Marcus.
“Dibling has not had as big an exposure because he is not at the same type of club. But I think, when anyone comes through, the environment you are in is so important, what that can determine for your career is so telling.
“That’s why I look at Dibling now, and I just hope that – I am presuming he has at Southampton – got an environment that actually embraces him, brings him in but will keep him level-headed.
“That environment (also must) be having channels of communications with his family to make sure that they are very aware of his progress and his pathway now.”
