FPL injury news: Gabriel, Semenyo, Enzo Fernandez, Konsa, Kudus latest for GW12

The return of Premier League football is finally upon us and there will be plenty of big matches to enjoy, with the north London derby the pick of the bunch. A number of top clubs are fielding injury concerns, though, meaning FPL managers will need to choose their teams wisely ahead of Saturday's deadline.

Express Sport provides a helping hand with a list of popular picks who might not be available for Gameweek 12...

Gabriel Magalhaes

Arsenal will be without Gabriel for the north London derby against Tottenham after he was injured while playing for Brazil. He suffered a thigh problem in the second half of their friendly against Senegal during the international break.

The full extent of Gabriel's injury is yet to be confirmed but reports have suggested that he could be sidelined until January. In any case, he will not be ready to face Spurs and is likely to be replaced in defence by Cristhian Mosquera.

Antoine Semenyo

Bournemouth had their own injury scare during the international break, with Semenyo dropping out of the Ghana squad. It was later confirmed that he had suffered a ligament strain which was aggravated during his country's game against Japan.

It remains to be seen if the in-demand winger will be fit enough to feature against West Ham this weekend, with the FPL website giving him a 75 per cent chance of playing.

Enzo Fernandez

Chelsea will be sweating over the fitness of Fernandez after he made an early exit from international duty with Argentina. The midfielder had been dealing with a knee problem and said he had been advised to rest for 'two or three weeks'.

If that is indeed the case, it suggests he won't be ready to face Burnley this weekend. However, there is optimism that his injury isn't as bad as initially feared, which suggests a late call will need to be made.

Ezri Konsa

Konsa left the England squad last week and did not feature in the squad for their game against Albania. The defender felt tightness in his calf and exited camp in an effort to avoid making the problem any worse.

Unless he has suffered a setback over the last few days, it seems likely that Konsa will be fit enough to play against Leeds United.

Mohammed Kudus

Tottenham will be desperate to have Kudus at their disposal as they head into the north London derby. He was described as 'touch and go' for the recent fixture against Manchester United, a game he ultimately missed due to a knock.

The problem also forced Kudus to miss both of Ghana's recent matches, but he might be fit to play against Arsenal after using the international break to rest and recover.
