November International Break Team of the Week

**The last international break until March has now concluded. Normally, we would all be breathing a sigh of relief – but this one was an absolute cracker.**

With plenty of dramatic goals and unforgettable moments, let’s take a look at the best XI from the last break of the [2026 World Cup](https://essential.football/world-cup-2026-possible-england-xi/) qualification campaign.

It wasn’t a great pair of games for goalkeepers, mainly due to the astonishing amount of goals scored.

However, Germany’s Oliver Baumann managed to keep a pair of clean sheets against Luxembourg and Slovakia – he didn’t have much to do, but it was enough to land him a spot in this XI.

Ridle Baku may have cemented his position as Germany’s number one right-back during the international break.

Not only did he keep two clean sheets, he also scored a goal and registered an assist over the course of the break.

Liam Scales has had a season of mixed fortunes for Celtic this season, but he was outstanding for the Republic of Ireland.

He kept a clean sheet and registered an assist in their shock win over Portugal, then assisted Troy Parrot’s winner against Hungary to send the Boys in Green into the playoffs.

We had to pick someone to represent England in this XI – and we thought there was no better representative than [Ezri Konsa](https://essential.football/players/19354/e-konsa/).

He has been putting in some quietly consistent performances for the Three Lions and has done himself plenty of favours ahead of the 2026 World Cup. England kept two clean sheets during the break, largely thanks to Konza’s defensive solidity.

The most obscure player in our XI by some distance, we wanted to shine some light on Israel’s Roy Revivo.

They played Moldova and Lithuania during the break – Revivo kept a clean sheet against Lithuania and scored against Moldova.
