Big advantage for Arsenal as star man ruled out of massive game

Arsenal have been handed a boost ahead of their clash with Chelsea as manager Enzo Maresca confirmed Cole Palmer will be unavailable.

The Gunners face a tough run of fixtures in November, which includes games against Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea.

Arsenal will be aiming to secure maximum points in all matches. Wins against these sides would help them maintain their position at the top of the Premier League and in the Champions League.

Palmer, who has struggled with fitness this season, was expected to return after the November international break.

However, Maresca revealed that Palmer suffered a minor setback.

Manager reveals Palmer’s injury blow

The manager explained that Palmer accidentally fractured his toe at home. This will rule him out of Chelsea’s visit to Turf Moor against Burnley, the Champions League match against Barcelona, and the upcoming game against Arsenal.

Speaking ahead of the Burnley match, Maresca said:

“He is probably not available, for tomorrow, for sure, Barcelona, for sure, Arsenal, for sure. Unfortunately he had an accident at home with his toe. But it is nothing important. For sure he is not back next week.”

When asked about the severity of the injury, he added:

“We do not know. It is fractured. The only thing we know is he is not available for this week and next week.”

Arsenal will look to capitalise on Chelsea’s setback

Chelsea currently sit third in the league with 20 points, six behind Arsenal. Palmer’s absence will be a blow for Maresca as he prepares for the busy month ahead.

Arsenal, meanwhile, will aim to take full advantage of Chelsea missing a key player. Victories against Tottenham, Bayern, and Chelsea would strengthen their position at the top of the league.

Arsenal will be hoping to have captain Martin Ødegaard available for their North London derby.

The upcoming fixtures are crucial for both clubs, as Arsenal look to continue their strong form while Chelsea adapt to missing Palmer.

Maresca will need to find solutions to cover Palmer’s absence, but Arsenal’s schedule remains a major test of their squad depth.

With these matches coming in quick succession, Arsenal have the opportunity to consolidate their lead and extend their advantage over the rest of the league.
