Liverpool will be without Florian Wirtz and Conor Bradley when they host Nottingham Forest this weekend.

The Reds head to Anfield on Saturday (3pm kick-off) aiming to build on their 3-1 triumph over Leeds United prior to the international break. It was only their second Premier League win of the season and their first under new head coach Sean Dyche.

Forest remain in the relegation zone ahead of the clash on Merseyside. However, they have closed the gap on the teams above them and are now one point behind 17th-placed Burnley.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has confirmed Wirtz and Bradley will both miss Saturday’s match. However, Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker is ready to make his comeback from a hamstring problem after being sidelined since September.

Slot said (via the Liverpool Echo): "Alisson trained last week and this week so he will be able to play, if things work out today. But we do have some issues after the international break.

“Conor Bradley is unable to play, Florian Wirtz unable to play. That is far from ideal."

Slot added: "Both muscle issues. I don't expect Conor to be part of the upcoming 22 days, maybe the end unless a miracle happens. Florian maybe should not be that long. Jeremie (Frimpong) is out just as long, won't be available in the next few weeks."

Bradley and Frimpong being ruled out leaves Liverpool without a natural right-back against Dyche’s men. Slot could turn to Dominik Szoboszlai or Curtis Jones to take up the role, while deploying Joe Gomez there is also an option.

Some flexibility may be required, as Slot acknowledged. He said: "Dominik is playing very well in all positions.

"Joe Gomez has played two times 90 minutes in 2025 so if we want to keep him available longer it's maybe a risk to play him seven times in 22 days. He missed training yesterday but we are expecting him to train today. Maybe one or two players have to play in positions they normally won't do."

The visitors will also have a few injury absentees. Callum Hudson-Odoi is expected to return from a dead leg, while Chris Wood has a chance of recovering from a knee issue. However, Oleksandr Zinchenko (groin), Douglas Luiz (hamstring), Dilane Bakwa (unknown), Angus Gunn (knee) and long-term absentees Ola Aina (hamstring) and Aaron Bott (unknown) remain out.
