Everton will face Newcastle United in just over one week’s time on Merseyside in the Premier League, but it is away from the pitch where the Blues may have already claimed bragging rights.
David Moyes will have his focus on Monday’s trip to Old Trafford, but the Blues return to home soil next weekend with a clash against the Magpies.
In what has been a mixed start to the season for Everton, there has been one seriously promising development in their early home form at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The new stadium has been huge for Everton, with the Blues already experiencing the benefits of their new state-of-the-art home.
The Hill Dickinson Stadium has already hosted one international rugby fixture in what was the debut event to be held outside of the football matches.
With football and rugby fans both wowed by the new stadium on the docks, Everton could be set to announce their next event, which will hurt Newcastle.

MORE EVERTON STORIES
It has not taken long for the Hill Dickinson Stadium to become a gem of the north, with many organisations already looking to host events on Merseyside.
According to All Out Rugby League, Everton are now set to beat Newcastle’s St. James’ Park to host the 2026 Magic Weekend.
Although there were some fears that the event could be scrapped, it has now seemingly found a new home in the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Newcastle have hosted the Magic Weekend seven times, with St. James’ Park hosting the 2025 event earlier this year.
Although the Toon were in talks to land the 2026 event, it looks as if Everton are going to win the race following their Ashes Series fixture.
Liverpool City Council remain keen to improve the Hill Dickinson Stadium and the local transport links to and from the docks.
This development will mark a huge boost for the Toffees, with more revenue set to be secured amid the ongoing financial regulation changes in the Premier League.
Hill Dickinson Stadium has been a huge boost for Everton
Rewind just one year to Everton still playing their football at Goodison Park, hosting such an event may not have been possible.
However, the Hill Dickinson Stadium has transformed the landscape for the Blues.
Everton News columnist Alan Myers has been blown away by the Hill Dickinson Stadium and the match day experience in the club’s new home.
Alan Stubbs on the Hill Dickinson Stadium’s capacity
“I wish it was even bigger. It’s amazing as it is, but 60,000 or 62,000 would be nice. Maybe one day.”
The state-of-the-art ground is being admired far and wide, with many clearly wanting a slice of the pie by hosting their events on Merseyside.
Birmingham City owner Tom Wagner waxed lyrical about Everton’s new stadium as he finalised plans for his own stadium design.
By hosting these events, Everton are laying a solid financial foundation under the tenure of The Friedkin Group.
