NFL bold predictions: NFC East Week 12

The NFC East currently has just one team above .500 as the Philadelphia Eagles (8-2) continue their championship defense. The Dallas Cowboys (4-5-1) are still hanging around (for now) while the New York Giants (2-8) are better off turning their attention to the 2026 NFL Draft. With the Commanders on bye this week, let’s dig into our NFC East Bold Predictions for Week 12!

The Eagles offense will finally get back on track

The Eagles’ offense has struggled mightily this year (including in their first game against Dallas), but the Cowboys defense has struggled even more. While they made some trade deadline additions, the fact remains that they’ve allowed the second-most points per game and third-most yards per game. Philadelphia will get unstuck and put up over 400 total yards of offense against Dallas this week.

Saquon Barkley will have his best game of the season

Saquon Barkley has had a really disappointing 2025 season after a monster 2024 season. He’s only managed to rush for 664 yards this season (14th in the league) and has only one game with more than 100 rushing yards. However, Barkley will face a Cowboys team that has allowed the ninth-most rushing yards per game, so we’re going to put him down for his second 100-yard rushing game of the year this week.

The Cowboys will fail to start their first two-game win streak

The Dallas Cowboys still haven’t won two straight games this season, and this won’t be the week they start to do so. After beating the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football, the Cowboys have to face the division-leading Philadelphia Eagles. While the Cowboys gave the Eagles a close game in Week 1, they’re highly out-matched in terms of talent and will fall to 4-6-1 this week.

The Cowboys running game will be stymied this week

Javonte Williams is in the midst of a great season, but he’ll face an Eagles team this week that just held Jahmyr Gibbs to 38 rushing yards and Josh Jacobs to 74 rushing yards. With the Cowboys also likely needing to throw a bunch to keep up, Williams will have limited opportunities and will be held under 50 rushing yards.

New York Giants:

Jaxson Dart will return and have a tough game in Week 12

Jaxson Dart is reportedly in line to play against the Detroit Lions after missing Week 11 with a concussion. Dart has looked good so far during his rookie season, but he will have to face a Lions team that has given up the fifth-least yards per game this season. While it’s great news for the Giants that Dart will (likely) be back, we’re going to put him down for a sub-200-yard passing game this week.

The Giants will give up at least 30 points to the Lions

While the Lions were held to just nine points by the Philadelphia Eagles last week, their upcoming opponent this week has allowed the fourth-most points per game this season. With Jared Goff playing at an MVP level, he and his supporting cast of Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Jameson Williams will put up at least 30 points on the Giants this week. We’ll go with a 34-17 Lions win.

Washington:

Commanders Bye Week Bold Prediction: The Commanders won’t win again this season

While this sounds a little crazy, the 3-8 Washington Commanders have a tough post-bye schedule. They’ll open with the Broncos and then have to face the Vikings, Giants, Eagles, Cowboys, and Eagles again. While some of those are winnable games (mostly the Giants), none of them are layups. The Commanders are a subpar team without Jayden Daniels, and he looks to be out for the season, so we’re going with a final record of 3-14 for Washington.
