**Pep Guardiola has been speaking to the media ahead of Manchester City's visit to Newcastle United on Saturday.**
The two teams will meet under the lights at St James' Park on Saturday with a 5:30pm kick-off, live on Sky Sports.
Whenever Newcastle face Man City, we often find that Guardiola has been speaking highly of the club and Eddie Howe, and there's usually one Newcastle player whose name is often mentioned.
Today was no exception as Guardiola once again took time to praise Bruno Guimaraes in his press briefing.
Pep Guardiola once again heaped praise on Bruno Guimaraes

As reported by [The Chronicle](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/pep-guardiola-pinpoints-incredible-newcastle-32917692), Guardiola once again reserved praise for the Newcastle United captain, stating that he's been an admirer of his since his days at Lyon.
> "It’s not just this season, for many years, since Lyon we realised he was a special player.
>
> "Newcastle make an incredible signing. He’s getting better and better. Always I’ve been a big fan of him."
Take 45 minutes out of your day to watch Bruno Guimaraes
--------------------------------------------------------
Bruno Guimaraes has often been linked with a move to Manchester City, and it was expected that Guardiola would launch a £100 million bid for the Brazilian a couple of years ago, but that thankfully never happened.
Guimaraes is very settled in the region now and refers to Newcastle as his home and even says his two kids are Geordies.
Newcastle fans don't need to be reminded of just how special Bruno is or indeed just how much he loves the club, but in case you need a refresher, the club put out a fantastic 'Day In The Life' video yesterday, following Bruno around for a day. It's about 45 minutes long, but it's worth watching every second just to see how much he absolutely loves Newcastle, the club, the city, the people, his family and his dogs.
