Just in: Benjamin Sesko absence time confirmed as two more Man Utd stars could miss Everton

Ruben Amorim is set to be without Benjamin Sesko and Harry Maguire when Manchester United host Everton on Monday (November 24th).

Sesko picked up a knee injury in United's 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the international break and pulled out of contention to represent Slovenia last week in World Cup qualifiers. It's thought that the 22-year-old could be sidelined for a month, and he's not the only injury concern ahead of the encounter with the Toffees.

Amorim will be eager for his side to get back to winning ways after an enthralling draw with Spurs last time out. His troops sit seventh in the league after 11 games with 18 points and face David Moyes' men, who are down in 13th place.

Man Utd Trio Absent From Training Ahead of Everton Clash

Sesko didn't take part in United's training session on Friday morning, and Amorim might have to place his faith in Joshua Zirkzee. The Dutch striker has endured a frustrating season thus far amid a lack of game time, but could get his opportunity to impress on Monday.

Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo were also absent from training due to recent knocks. Maguire suffered a hamstring injury in the draw at Spurs, while Mainoo is dealing with a minor muscle issue, which saw him sit out that game.

Amorim provided an update on the trio in his pre-match press conference, starting with Sesko (via Manchester Evening News):

"He is going to be a few weeks out. Not that serious, we have to be careful. He is feeling better. More or les,s he will be back at the same time as Amad leaves for AFCON."

Amorim explained that Maguire was "not ready" for Monday's game, which is a big blow, as the veteran English defender has been one of his most important players so far this season.

A starring role hasn't been handed to Mainoo, whose future continues to be the subject of intense speculation despite his manager insisting he's part of his plans. It's thought that the 20-year-old is "receptive" to joining Serie A giants Napoli, where he'd be reunited with Rasmus Hojlund and Scott McTominay.

Amorim was more upbeat about the English youngster, claiming that he expected him to take part in training on Saturday. Other than those three, the only other member of Amorim's first-team squad who is injured is Lisandro Martinez. The Argentine defender hasn't made an appearance this season as he continues to recover from a knee injury, but he has been back in training.
