Manchester United are set to face Everton at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Monday evening.
United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed the team news ahead of the crucial clash.
He said in the pre-match press conference: “Benjamin Sesko is going to be a few weeks out. Not that serious we have to be careful. He is feeling better.
“Maguire is not ready, Kobbie didn’t train today but we could see him tomorrow.
“Lisandro Martinez is becoming close to be ready to play.
“Of course we need to be careful as he is going to struggle in the first [few] minutes.”
Benjamin Sesko suffered a knee injury in the 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur before the November international break.
The striker is expected to be sidelined for roughly a month, dealing United a frustrating blow to their attacking depth.
Lisandro Martinez has returned to team training after a long spell out with an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury sustained back in February.
He travelled with the Argentina squad during the most recent international window to maintain elite training intensity and ensure he was fully prepared for club action.
His comeback represents arguably the biggest boost Amorim could have hoped for.
Martinez is expected to be out for the Everton clash but could return to the matchday squad against Crystal Palace.
Kobbie Mainoo suffered a knock in training ahead of the Tottenham encounter.
He was absent from training today and will be assessed ahead of the game.
Amorim also confirmed that Harry Maguire will not be available for the clash.
United have a good record against Everton and must be planning to pick up three points.
They are unbeaten in the last five games but have drawn their previous two fixtures.
A victory on Monday night could thrust them firmly back into the race for a top-four finish, reigniting belief within the squad and the fanbase.
