Fantasy football bold predictions for Week 12

The fantasy football bold predictions I made for Week 11 didn’t bat 100%, but I did hit a home run when mentioning Sean Tucker would be a top 12 fantasy RB with his expanded role in the Bucs’ backfield and matchup against the Buffalo Bills — where he finished with 140 total yards and three touchdowns.

Here is a closer look at my fantasy football bold predictions for Week 12 of NFL action.

Matthew Stafford Finishes as the QB1 Overall

The Los Angeles Rams are firing on all cylinders entering their Week 12 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who just gave up six total touchdowns from Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen on Sunday.

The Bucs defense has been very boom or bust this season, which makes sense considering Todd Bowles being forced to dial up blitzes to pressure the quarterback without the presence of a dominant edge rushing presence.

This could be a recipe for the Tampa Bay defense to get torched by the Rams offense, who have had plenty of schematic success against Bowles’ defense since Stafford arrived in Los Angeles.

Expect Puka Nacua and Davante Adams to dominate in this matchup, which should lead to a big performance from Matthew Stafford in Week 12.

Jameson Williams Scores 25+ Fantasy Points for a Third Straight Week

The Detroit Lions offense really struggled against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, but one of the few things that went right in Week 11 was Dan Campbell’s faith in Jameson Williams being rewarded for a second consecutive week — where the Alabama product finished with four receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown against the defending Super Bowl champs.

Williams has scored in three straight games and finished with over 85 yards receiving and seven targets in two consecutive contests.

The New York Giants’ defense has talent up front, but is still vulnerable to explosive plays in the passing game on the backend. If the Lions continue to heavily involve Williams in the game plan, then don’t be surprised if the former first-round pick continues to be a force in your starting roster.

George Pickens Finishes Outside of the Top 30 at the WR Position

Despite watching the first series from the sidelines on Monday Night Football, George Pickens exploded for 29.4 fantasy points with nine receptions for 144 yards and a touchdown against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Was that impressive? Absolutely.

Do I expect him to repeat that performance against a Philadelphia Eagles defense that locked down Amon-Ra St. Brown and the entire Green Bay Packers WR room over the last two weeks? Absolutely not.

Much has changed for Pickens since his Cowboy debut, but this Philly secondary did limit him to just three receptions for 30 yards back in Week 1.

The more Quinyon Mitchell he sees this week, the lower his fantasy ceiling becomes in Week 12.
