Marc Cucurella is the main left-back option with Reece James and Malo Gusto splitting right-back duties.

Moises Caicedo, Andrey Santos, James, Gusto, and Enzo Fernandez can all come in to defensive midfield in Romeo Lavia’s absence. Enzo can push up to the attacking midfield spot where Joao Pedro and Facundo Buonanotte also play. Jamie Gittens, Estevao, Pedro Neto, and Alejandro Garnacho share the minutes out wide. Liam Delap, Pedro, and Tyrique George can all play as the striker.

Defensively, they are either feast or famine, conceding three to Wolves in the EFL Cup and two to Qarabag in between clean sheets against Tottenham and the Wanderers.
